Basket Auction

Dear Community Member,

I want to invite you to participate in a very special event.

Our 11th Annual Polish-American Heritage Day will take place from 11 AM - 6 PM Sunday, August 18, 2019, at St. Anne’s Church at 4310 Kirk Road in Youngstown (at the corner of Kirk and Raccoon Roads). This family-oriented event will start with a polka mass, followed by two live polka bands, contests, workshops and vendor displays! Folk art demonstrations and performances also are on the entertainment lineup.

This event is sponsored by PolishYoungstown, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation (#800-551-224) created to inspire and educate area residents on all things Polish. Its mission is to promote Polish culture and ethnic awareness in the Mahoning Valley area. Its goal is to celebrate Polish customs with accuracy and liveliness.

All the proceeds from the basket raffle and silent auction go toward educating our community about our authentic Polish culture and heritage through exploration of dance, music, language study and folk art in. We need your help to make these efforts a success!

You, your employer, or both can donate to the Silent Auction or Basket Raffle. Some items that have enticed our attendees through other auctions are gift baskets including vodka, holiday items, children’s items, food items, gift certificates, electronic equipment, artwork and books. I have enclosed a donation form for you to complete.

WHY DO IT? Your donation may qualify for a federal charitable contribution deduction (consult your tax advisor), and it DEFINITELY will help us to educate the next generation about our colorful culture and its influence on the Mahoning Valley!

Thank you in advance for your support of this educational event. Together we can make a difference!

Sincerely,
Aundrea Cika Heschmeyer
